Tiger Hills:

If you adore nature then visit Tiger Hills early in the dawn that offers the spectacular view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Kanchenjunga. The blaze of swiftly changing colors of the snow clad peaks provides an awesome sight as the sun kisses mountains. This quaint place just don’t offer a great view during sunrise, it’s consign where you can impart yourself with serenity of the Himalayas any time.

The Mountaineering Institute:

The Mountaineering institute is in the memory of Tenzing Norgay who conquered Mt. Everest. For adventurous people, this institute imparts the knowledge of mountaineering and also trains the trekkers under the guidance experts. This place also houses museums and showcase the himalayan flora and fauna repositories. The best feature is the up close view of the Telescope that belonged to the great Hitler.

Ghoom Monastery:

The Ghoom Monastery is the biggest and oldest monastery in the district. It is 20 km from the Darjeeling town. Also known as Yiga Choeling Monastery consists of a 15 foot tall Buddha ‘s model and Buddhist’s manuscripts. It is covered with snow capped mountains and views around it will awestruck you in a clear bright days. Ghoom Monastery houses the oldest Buddha’s sculpture around the Darjeeling district.

Kalimpong:

Kalimpong is a tiny quaint town and is a located about 20 km from the main town of Darjeeling. The weather is pleasant all the time and the best time to visit is during November to February. This place is far from the hustle and bustle of the town and a real treat for nature lovers. The famous spots in Kalimpong are Lava, Loleygaon and Rishab.

Batasia Loop:

This loop one of the loops that the train toy winds through on its way to Darjeeling. This the photographers spot. You can spend your entire day taking pictures of the spectacular view along with the ethnic village people knowing their culture and style of living. You can also opt to halt here for nature’s inspiration that reflect in everything of this place.
